I need some advice …….we have taken about 50 mostly graduates from universities and
colleges on internship programme. Our specific office needed two. The problem is that
because Plett is very expensive, those from out of the town can’t get reasonably priced
rental accommodation……after much agonising I relented to the cries from one of the
interns……….she now stays at my flat…..the arrangement is that she should be out by
end of this month, but it doesn’t look that she would have got an alternative place come
end of the month …….I’m hesitant to allow her stay beyond the original agreement
On the other hand I could approach a colleague who has a spare room (he’s renting from
the employer, so there won’t be much problems to get permission to sub-let)……but now
this girl will need to buy bed, linen, pots, cutlery etc……I can help her with this…..but
my problem is that I don’t want her to believe that I don’t want her in my place……if I
can afford to assist her with these many things, why can’t I allow her – say – another
month so she can get a place and buy for herself…….I don’t want to create unnecessary
subtle tensions….what’s your advice

Is It Safe To Eat Food That Is Cut From A Knife Just Sharpened By Chef With A Stone But Knife Is Not Cleaned ?

here is the most common problem that we often encounter in the restaurants. If you purchase food from a restaurant and if the kitchen is located just right next to the cashier like those you found in the Mexican restaurant and some fast food chains like Boston Market. Here is the problem, often times, they sharpened their knife with a stone or metal rod and immediately cut into the food without even washing or cleaning the knife. This will leave very small tiny little pieces of metal debris into the food that you just ordered. My question is, is it safe to eat food with metal debris on it ? or it could be harmful ? I just don’t know why they are so lazy not to wash the sharpened knife with water before cutting the food. I have seen this many many times at various restaurants and I avoid going to those restaurants.

a chef steel isn’t really for sharpening a knife.. it’s meant only to hone the blade after it’s been sharpened.. when a knife has been sharpened there is a thin strip of metal at the edge that has a tendency to bend one way or the other, because it is so thin. Honing it gets that strip of metal to stand straight..

So I recently got hired to sell Cutco Cutlery. I’m still keeping my job at a call center I work for, but I keep hearing mixed reviews about a job with Cutco Cutlery. Some people say it’s a scam and they don’t pay you some say it’s great work. I know you get paid 14.25 per appointment, and there’s no pressure to sell the product. You go to appointments to show people the product who are already interested in the product and want to see it. CAn anyone tell me if they think this is a good job and if you make good money? From the group interview I was in it sounds like a lot of fun. You get commission if you sell anything…it sounds like pretty good work. I could use any feedback regarding this! :)

I am a vegetarian, living with a family of carnivores. I dont like to make a big deal about vegetarianism, or force my ideas on other people.
But it totally grosses me out when people use cutlery on meat and then use it on my food. Anyone else have the same problem? Do I just have to deal with it?
