OK this is easy. Get a towel, spread it out along a bench top and place the cutlery along it with approx 1 inch or 25mm gap between each piece. Then simply roll the towel up. Your knives won’t get blunt and the whole thing can be placed in a carry bag.
Lots of cutlery? – Just use another towel.

Kind of depends on what kind of boxes you are packing into.
Kitchen utensils such as spatulas, whisks, ladles, etc. are great in a narrow, longish box that isn’t much taller than what you need to get it all in there. Some crumpled newspaper or paper towles eliminate bouncing around and a snug fit.
Sharp knives should be wrapped in something individually, then they can be either packed into a right sized box or added to the utensil box.
Ditto for the serving pieces like spoons, forks, dinner knives. It helps with the unpacking if all like items are wraped up together.

You should sort all your individial sets (Knives, forks etc…) and wrap them up in old newspaper, maybe put an elastic band over the newspaper then. That way, they won’t get mixed up, or get damaged.

bubble wrap.if you have any and pack it all together in one box including your knives forks spoons ect.ect.
